composition assignment continued

"it was late at night and we set up a camp. in the morning, when we woke up we were by the native american burial ground."

I'm having difficulties of choosing which composition is better. So I just go with the last two, that shows more depth, which can be interesting to play around with props, shadows and ...stuff.

eh i dunno...what do you think?

Tonal value study

After laboring hours and days tracing Will's fixes...

one thing about this image that disturbed me is that how come the shovel looks like an artist-formerly-known-as-prince symbol?

anyhoo, using this sketch, Will did some tonal values on it.

Don't you love how the light sippin' through the house?

Let the kite free

So as I said from the last post that I'll scan Will's drawing and so y'all can see how much it improved. Apparently it took me couple of months to scan. But afraid not, alas here it is

Instead of placing the foreground elements closing the frame off, his idea to open it up. Letting the boat kite to be placed in the open sky, and be ready to fly.

Next I'm gonna bring the fixed sketch, and how Will approach some tonal values. I promise it's not going to take couple of months--maybe more, actually.
